Orca
Orca are one of those animals that takes your breath away every time you see them. Majestic, graceful and cunning; orca are the kings and queens of the ocean. They can cover great distances in a short space of time, making them hard to find. You can be floating around for hours trying to spot them with no luck, then all of a sudden, they appear from seemingly from nowhere.
The Broughton Archipelago is home to two species of orca, residents and transients. Residents only eat salmon and other fish, yet despite their name they move more than transients as they follow the salmon so can be found during the summer but in the winter, little is known where they go. Transients only eat mammals, be that dolphin, seals and sea-lions. They are in my opinion the more intelligent of the two as they are hunting mammals so they have to be organised and work as a team.
